Bud Light “Not all heroEs wear capes”

POST PRODUCER

AGENCY: WIEDEN+KENNEDY NEW YORK

During game 5 of the 2019 World Series, a homerun ball was flying straight at Nats Fan Jeff Adams, and instead of protecting himself, he protected the Bud Lights he had in each hand. In less than 24 hours, we made him into two national commercials that aired during the World Series. Here’s the tweet that started it all, and the two spots that followed: #1 and #2.

Campaign Live named it Ad of the Week, citing “Not all ads need to be produced and edited for months and cost millions. It’s refreshing to see agencies and brands working together so quickly to create a fun piece of work that authentically taps into a cultural moment. Cheers to that, Bud Light team."

It was also covered on Good Morning America and was the winner of the One Show’s Gold Pencil for Social Post / Real Time Response.
